We are no longer amused...
Still not moved yet... our patience with this apartment complex has expired.

Movingness... Take 2
Okay... so they've had plenty of time now to clean up after the exterminator... so in the morning, we'll be trying to moving-in thing again. Hopefully the cable guy was able to turn on our cable without us being there so that we have internet as soon as we settle in. Otherwise, the saga will continue and I'll either be back online Monday from the new apartment, or else I'll be checking back in from mum's house occasionally.

Either way, if I'm not back online in a few days, assume that I've been eaten by some kind of evil monsters, and send out a rescue team to come recover my remains and put me back together again. >^_^

Well.. the exterminator had been there - today... and bombed the place... which means we weren't able to move stuff in today. ...so the truck is still full of stuff... and the project takes yet another day of added stress.

On a brighter note, by the time we move in, we'll have internet service already in place (unless the cable company screws it up). In the meantime, camping out at mum's house again.

moving day
Stress... moving is always a traumatic experience for us, and this one carries with it a whole bundle of flashbacky triggeryness - more even than usual... it started with reviewing the lease at the apartment complex and the triggeryness hasn't taken even the slightest break. Perhaps when i'm a bit more together i'll be able to explain why in more detail. For now, though, we need to just pretend to be okay so that we don't upset other peoples... anyway... *MELTDOWN*

full circle?
Perhaps this is the more appropriate place for entries to go when either we're not quite sure who we are, or if it's a combination of us. i'd forgotten that this lj was still here until we were asked if we still have access to a certain lj community.

Anyway... yeah... this is us...

Words from the Serpent...
"When the miners send forth the canary down the shaft, they have already accepted the loss of the bird, and should feel nothing for it when it does not return - not surprise, not remorse, not sadness, and certainly not anger - neither at the lost bird, nor at that which claims it." -Phipt.

(yes, i'm well aware that the analogy is not quite accurate - the miners actually go into the shaft with the bird, rather than being too cowardly to follow... but close enough to get the point across)

<No Subject>
i came to a realization today...

sexuality (or the lack thereof) is only a symptom of a problem that runs MUCH deeper... i'm emotionally dead and empty... i don't know how to feel pleasure... i'm not even entirely sure what a feeling of pleasure *is*... i get a vague notion of it vicariously, by watching other people... and i can even sometimes figure out how to bring pleasure to others, which is nice i suppose... but i think i'm unable to feel pleasure for myself. That's something of a disturbing thing to realize, but it's been consistent for a long time, and definitely explains why i'm so unfulfilled.

Sometimes i wonder if the problem is that i have no soul at all...

Philosophy meme
You scored as Hedonism. Your life is guided by the principles of Hedonism: You believe that pleasure is a great, or the greatest, good; and you try to enjoy life’s pleasures as much as you can.

“Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die!”

Political post...
In light of having been recently told that the 'myth' of the evolving fascist police state in the US is paranoid bullshit, i find it necessary to refer to articles like the following, just to remind us what "We, the People" need to be vigilant against - far more than 'illegal immigrants' or 'terrorist threats', the following demonstrates a FAR bigger danger to what the US theoretically stands for:

NY Times article, or, if you'd rather not register at the NY Times site, it is mirrored at Truthout.

Since i hafta go back to that country next week, i've been taking a peek into the goings-on south of the border, and i'm still not happy with what i see there.

You scored as Mermaid. Mermaid: Mermaids are also known as Sirens. These creatures were beautiful women who tricked sailors into becoming completely entranced by their haunting voices and found death soon after. Not all stories of Mermaids are about gentle loving sea people. They are mystical, magical, and extremely dangerous. They have a way about them that brings anyone they are around to seem enchanted. They are very mysterious creatures and to meet one... Would mean certain Death. Let the song of the Sea fill your soul, for you are a Mermaid.

Withdraw, regroup, and try again...
i'll most likely be returning to the states ahead of schedule - as for exactly when, we're not sure; the specifics are up to Mistress. Also, it'll be a significantly longer stay than was originally intended. Lots of things that i need to take care of - both external (passport, lawyer, doctors, dentist, etc) and internal (introspective analysis, diagnostics, and a major reorganization of our inner system)... and this place really is too small for the three of us to live in on a fulltime basis.

As such, if you are in Toronto and want to meet up with me, it needs to be soon... we may be looking at a departure date as early as within the next week or three... That's still up in the air, depending on what Mistress decides.

Also, if you happen to be in the Toronto area and looking for a housemate/roommate, and don't mind a bit of mental/emotional instability (if you are reading this, you have some idea of how bad it can get at times), contact me - i'd much prefer to remain in the area and just make my mandatory pilgrimages back to the states as necessary.

Mostly, the problem here is one of overcrowded space. That has pushed the stress levels up for all three of us, and made some issues that would otherwise be manageable into significant problems. Nobody is 'abandoning' anyone or 'giving up' on anything. We just need some space and time to recover a bit from the overwhelming circumstances and rethink long-term strategies.

Well... Sorry there hasn't been an entry in awhile, but i've been kinda dead for like the past three days, but i'm back now. Hopefully i'll stick around awhile this time, and not just drift off into the clouds again.

Some of the questions were worded in such ways as to not be accurately answerable, but i did my best, and this is the result i received:

You scored as Ecclectic Pagan. A veritable blend of all the pantheons and perhaps a dash of a few other religions as well, you're the versitile Ecclectic Pagan. You have no problem wearing an ankh while setting an offering to Herne on your alter just below your image of Hera. You don't believe in coloring within the lines, and are a bright free-thinker. While you respect the views of your fellow pagans, as far as you're concerned, religion is the sky, and there's no one about to clip your wings with lines and limitations.
